Get in Line signage Queensgate Roundabout

Reported via mobile in the Road works category anonymously at 09:29, Thursday 9 July 2026

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 9758488.

Heading along Bourges Blvd from Asda direction to Queensgate roundabout

When arriving at Queensgate Roundabout the left lane is left turn only due to roadworks. Motorists need to be in right lane for ahead and right

Painted road markings contradict the get in lane instruction

There is only one Get in lane sign on approach to the roundabout, located on the entrance to the roundabout (and not in advance) and only in the right lane.

The instruction of get in lane and left turn only is only evident when motorists are on the roundabout leading to near misses and increased risk of collision and injury.

There are no warning signage in advance of the roundabout to advise that the left lane is left lane only

This appears inconsistent in giving motorists enough warning they must be in the correct lane
