Grass worn away, wet weather will be awful

Reported via mobile in the Public right of way - problem with access or damage category by Des Pullar at 20:02, Wednesday 8 July 2026

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 9756393.

The grass around the bridge works is getting torn up because the pathways are obviously closed. Is there something planned for this area for pedestrians, cyclists and wheelchair users? There's a new bit of tarmac for the workers to park on behind the barriers, but the rest of us are left to make our own way round. Currently it's hot and dry and just bare patches of grass so far, but once the weather gets cooler and wetter it will very quickly become a huge mess and impassable to most. This is a regular route for many people to get to Stanground or Whittlesey from the city. Surely something can be done? Even if it's temporary.
