Pedestrian crossing not working

The pedestrian crossing on Oundle Road outside of the Yard Of Ale is not functioning correctly. I’m led to believe that the council has already attempted a repair, but the crossing is still not operational and pedestrians are unable to activate the crossing safely which I observed myself on a handful of occasions today.

There is currently no signage or temporary notice advising the public that the crossing is out of service, which could lead to confusion and create a safety risk, particularly for children, older people and those with mobility or visual impairments.

I think this needs addressing as soon as possible given this is very popular crossing that is used regularly by many residents.
