Exposing Vehicles for Sale on a Road

Reported via desktop in the Car parking category anonymously at 22:08, Tuesday 2 June 2026

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 9550898.

An individual is running a car sale business where he parks several cars and leaves them for prolonged periods at the Dell, mainly the at the bend. These cars are then fixed on the road and some of the debris and rubbish is left on the side. There are several cars parked often with no MOT or road tax being paid.

This has been reported to DVLA in the past by another member of public and the cars got clamped, however the issue remains and the individual continues to run his business that way.

This causes a significant nuisance to local residents and it takes up valuable parking spaces required for local residents. Not to mention the safety hazard as the street is so obstructed that sometimes you are unable to see oncoming traffic.

Taking into account https://www.gov.uk/ guidance/ take-legal-action-against-nuisance-parking and https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ ukpga/ 2005/ 16/ section/ 3 this is illegal and needs to be actioned and dealt with.
