Start of Limetree avenue, Lincoln rd end

Reported via desktop in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 16:55, Tuesday 12 May 2026

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 9442153.

Abandoned pick up truck. Been there for weeks, had many parking tickets. Blocking part of the path and on double yellow lines. Would appear the owner is now driving another pick up and parking it opposite the abandoned one on double yellows. HE does not even live on Limetree!

  • Thank you for your report.

    Information Regarding Abandoned Vehicles

The Council can only arrange for the removal of a car, van, or other vehicle if the Investigating Officer determines that it is abandoned in accordance with legal criteria. Each report is assessed on a case-by-case basis, and action can only be taken where the vehicle meets the DEFRA definition of abandonment. When assessing whether a vehicle is abandoned, the Investigating Officer will consider several factors, including whether:

The vehicle has no registered keeper on the DVLA database and is untaxed It has remained stationary in the same location for an extended period It is significantly damaged, run-down, or unroadworthy (e.g. flat tyres, missing wheels, broken windows, or severe deterioration) It has been burnt out It is missing a number plate

If the vehicle meets one or more of the above criteria, please reply to ask@peterborough.gov.uk, quoting your FixMyStreet reference number. We will then arrange for the matter to be logged with the enforcement team for investigation.

To Report an Untaxed / SORN Vehicle in good condition please report to DVLA https://www.gov.uk/ report-untaxed-vehicle

To report a vehicle without MOT or insurance call the police on 101 or report online: https://www.cambs.police.uk/ advice/ advice-and-information/ rs/ road-safety/ driving-offences/
