Roadworks taking place during unsociable hours

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 9437529.

Roadworks (ref # FB01911101620-01) started at 2030 this evening and continued to 1210 (10 after midnight) next to residential building. The works are very noisy and not an emergency so unclear why they are being carried out during these hours. i have not received any prior notice of the works.

  • We have requested the overnight works due to the busy nature of this road. There is a condition on the permit that all noisy works are to end by 11pm as per national guidance. I have contacted the contractor responsible for these works and reminded them of this condition.
