Two 6 inch holes in pavement next to post box

Reported via iOS in the Public footpath or cyclepath category anonymously at 11:27, Thursday 5 February 2026

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8844310.

There are two 6 inch holes in the pavement next to the letterbox outside the post office on the corner of Exeter Rd and Peveril Rd. It looks like a metal sign has been removed and has left two holes with jagged metal protruding out of the pavement. My dog got her leg in the hole as we walked by, luckily she wasn’t hurt. I and many people have tripped over these holes when posting letters. If this is the post offices responsibility they need to be told to fill in these holes before someone is injured. Thank you.
