Floods

The road floods everything it rains. I can see this problem has been continous since 2020 and you want to put more houses here lol

  • Unfortunately, Parker Road and all the adjoining roads was all built and designed by the MOD. The carriageway gullies all outfall into soakaways as such during heaving rain and the soakaways quickly become full along with saturated ground, thus there is temporary areas of standing water, this does however disperse with a couple of hours of the rain stopping. Parker Road is one of the lowest parts of Wittering therefore this section of carriageway does get overwhelmed more quicker. All new developments have to adhere to the new drainage legislation and all surface water on these new development sites are independent to those on the existing drainage network.
