Continued risk to life

Reported via mobile in the Safety fence or barrier category anonymously at 22:12, Monday 19 January 2026

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8724243.

This is the 6th report of an accident in the same spot in less than 12 months. A van struck the cones and barrier that are in front of our house on Saturday evening. The barrier that was put in place has now slid down the bank and is completely useless. The original crash barrier torn from the ground and subsequently crushed in another accident remains useless. I am at a loss as to what to say in order for the council to take action to put in traffic calming, lighting and replace the barrier as discussed in summer 2025. The house remains at risk of being struck again and needing repair, however most importantly is the risk to my family's life in the house and the risk to drivers and passengers as a direct result of the councils flagrant neglect of its duty to keep citizens safe from obvious harm. Please take immediate action to make this highway safe.
