Car scrap yard

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8596189.

The owner of number 17 treat street as car yard , there is multiple damaged cars parking on Madingley Drive but also on Aqua drive. Total can be 7-8 damaged vehicles, he realist them in street , changing parts etc . This is not industrial estate it living area and sore to eyes , not to mention dangerous as cars obstruct roads.

    If a business is being run from home, this is likely to be a breach of tenancy agreement if the property is private rented, we strongly advise to contact the Letting Agent/ Landlord / Housing Association if known.

    Please see below information provided to customer services regarding a business being run from home.

    Planning permission is required to operate business from home.

    It must be established that a commercial business is being run. Complainants will be asked to complete log sheets to document how often the activity is taking place and the impact it has. Officers will also visit the area to witness activity. When there is evidence of business use action can only be taken at residential addresses; this route cannot be used when the activity is taking place in a public space e.g. Residents parking bay.

    Before a case can be registered and investigated the complainant is required to complete a log of the alleged unauthorised activity.

    Request can be sent to enforcement@peterborough.gov.uk with the address of where the business is being run from and the complainant address for the log sheet to be sent.

    If there is an obstruction of the road or pavement or blocking drive or any dangerous parking, this is the responsibility of the police to investigate and enforce.
