Hazardous road and ironworks

Reported via desktop in the Other public road issue category anonymously at 16:48, Wed 17 December 2025

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8560936.

The road surface on Morpeth Close has remained unfinished for 18 months since I moved into the estate. Multiple drain covers and manholes are raised high above the asphalt with sharp, vertical edges. Most lack temporary safety ramps. Where ramps do exist, they have deteriorated into crumbled debris.

These hazards cause three major issues:

Public Safety: Council reports already confirm residents are falling due to uneven surfaces on this estate. Emergency Access: Earlier this year, a fire engine was delayed because it struggled to navigate these ironworks while other drivers swerved to avoid them. Vehicle Damage: Navigating these vertical edges twice daily for 18 months has caused suspension damage to my car

The developer, claims the road is safe. My photos prove this is false. I could only upload 3 pictures here, but I have a full set showing many more hazardous ironworks.
