Hanging banch above walking,cycling path
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8441620.
Large hanging banch above walking, cycling path can cause very serious injury. in report (ref no 8432579) has been desribed 2 problems- 1 has been sloved ( Fallen tree) thank you , however hanging branch is still a problem. hanging branch is about 100 m away from where fallen tree was if you would walk towards orton mere, i believe looking on the map which is visible here could be between 8,5m and 6,2m area.

A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.

Works approved
The works recommended from the inspection have been approved and we are in the process of issuing a work order to our contractor.

The works order has now been issued to the contractor and they will endeavour to have this completed within 40 working days. For info, timescales for completion are currently slightly extended due to a backlog of works at present
