Faded signs
Reported via desktop in the Traffic sign category anonymously at 11:46, Sun 9 November 2025
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8394248.
The 40 mph signs have faded at this location. These signs have been in this condition for approx 2 years. Also the 40 mph sign the other end of the road (towards the Decoy) is a single sign approx size 200mm diameter, this requires checking to ensure it complies with highway signage regulations for a 40 mph speed zone. We have a major problem on this stretch of road with traffic exceeding 60mph as well as overtaking at speed. I see in other areas with speed restrictions the permitted max speed painted onto the road, this may be another means of making drivers aware.
