2 or possibly 3 dead trees close to properties

Reported via mobile in the Tree is dead or dying category anonymously at 17:09, Sat 27 September 2025

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8222392.

All 3 trees are in woodland owned by the Council. 1st is a dead elder tree, covered by ivy. It was alive last year, but been dead all this year. It's now leaning over 2 adjacent properties and the lean is increasing each month. When it topples, it will destroy 2 garden fences and items in the gardens, plus block egress from the garden. 2nd is a much taller tree slightly to the left and behind. It has also remained dead all this year and is heavily covered in ivy. If we have high winds over the next months, it will fall. It may fall towards the adjacent properties, destroying fences, etc and blocking the access path or fall towards the footpath and cycleway in the opposite direction. A 3rd tree behind these 2 adjacent to the cycleway and footpath appears to be in the same dead state covered in ivy. In the last couple of years, 2 nearby tall trees fell into the adjacent cul de sac car park in high winds. The trees are at the rear of 49 and 50 Stagsden. The elder tree issue was reported earlier this summer and the tree is more precarious now.
