Gets flooded every single time it rains

Reported via mobile in the Flooded road category anonymously at 15:40, Wed 3 September 2025

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8114345.

It gets flooded on this spot every single time it rains. People speed up here after exiting the roundabout causing severe splashing onto those walking past. This is not the first time it has happened to us. Today I was carrying my 8 month old baby under the umbrella in the severe rain, trying to keep her dry just for a car to speed past and splash us all. This doesn’t happen just to us, it’s to every single person walking pasts. I have a video of a car speeding up and a video of car going past after already splashing us. This is not okay. It needs to be fixed asap. It’s either the drains are clogged or there is no rundown at all.

  • A Drainage Engineer arrived on site 29 minutes after this report was received and found no standing water on the public highway as per the attached date and timed photos, this suggesting the road gully is not blocked and draining the surface (rain) water, however there may well be an issue with the Anglian Water surface water sewer, which these road gullies outfall into. Therefore we will inform Anglian Water asking if they can investigate their surface water sewer for any potential blockages.

    State changed to: In progress
