Risk to Life - 4th accident in 4 months
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8086837.
Previous accidents happened in March and April 2025 when the barrier was damaged and then left totally redundant. Discussions about traffic calming, street lighting and road markings were had. Concrete blocks were put in place as a temporary measure, however no actual work has been done. Last night at 1.30am a 4th accident happened which resulted in a car being completely totalled and the concrete barrier being displaced by the impact. There is a gaping space now where another car could quite easily crash into our home. So we are again at serious risk and unprotected. The police were called and removed the vehicle during the night. I would appreciate an urgent response and action to replace the concrete barrier. I woyld also appreciate an update on what and when permenant work will be undertaken to make the road safe as it is quite clearly very dangerous and risks drivers lives, but also my family's life as our home is not safe from repeated and serious damage.
