Tree root invading garden, tree branches overhang

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 8056474.

The trees in-between my garden and the cemetery are over-hanging into my garden, making it hard to use the back of the garden as well as blocking sunlight. The tree root is also entering my garden affecting the garden post and fences.

    A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has been unable to recommend any further action on this occasion.

    Please be aware that Aragon Direct Services manages the Council owned trees in accordance with the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.

    Continued management of all of our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one to five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
