Intrusive street lamp

This light is completely intrusive and far too bright to be outside a window. It illuminates the entire room! Why did they not fit a yellow light rather than a bright white light. Feels like I need to wear sunglasses in my own bedroom with my very own LED sun sat 8ft away from my window!!! It would be ideal if this could be looked into - light pollution at its finest! Thanks so much
