Tree to close to house

It was recommended a few years ago that this tree could be to close to the house, I did not think it would be a problem but have been advised that the roots could be doing damage to the foundations of our house. Also we have a lot of self seeded trees rounds it that are closer to the house as well don’t want them to take root to much.

  • Works recommended

    Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.

    A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.

    Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
