Growth of verge and trees narrowing road

The road has lost so much width due to the verge and trees not being cut back that large vehicles and even cars have to come across to the other side of the road to pass. When 2 large vehicles meet at this point it is gridlock! This is in a 20mph zone and near a school crossing! Highly dangerous.

  • Thank you for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.

    A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has been unable to recommend any further action on this occasion.

    Please be aware that Aragon Direct Services manages the Council owned trees in accordance with the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.

    Continued management of all of our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one to five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
