Person dumping in my bin and garden

I have complained before about rubbish being tipped in my garden I know have a video of someone tipping in my bin

You can report cases of fly-tipping on private land to us, although it is the landowner’s responsibility to clear the waste.
Our Environmental Enforcement Team can only investigate if there is enough evidence available, e.g. witness statement, CCTV footage, evidence in the waste, etc.
When you report, please state if you’re able to provide any evidence to support our investigation.If there is enough evidence, once the case is referred to the Environmental Enforcement Team for investigation, we will mark the report as closed on the system.
If there is no evidence of the fly-tipping being committed, or who the waste originally belonged to, we are unable to investigate and proceed with your report.

Thank you for your report. All residents are responsible for their own bins. We appreciate that this is frustrating when someone else contaminated bins, unfortunately like yourself we cannot control what the public do. You would need to remove the contaminated items before next bin collection day, as the bin will not be emptied with incorrect items (if green bin) excess of 2x clear bags can be left next to the green bin and the crew will remove these. If you have strong evidence and you know where fly-tipper lives we may be able to log this as enforcement fly-tipping for the enforcement team to contact you to obtain a written witness statement and collect any any evidence you may have. Please let us know if you want to do this?
Alternatively, if you do want your contaminated bin emptied there is a one-off charge of £23.50 to send a crew around to empty it for you. We can send an email to Aragon Direct Services to contact you to arrange. If you would like to go ahead with this, please reply to ask@peterborough.gov.uk with your reference number of this report and address.
