Defective reinstatment- Anglian Water

Reported via desktop in the Other public road issue category by Gareth Brown at 12:54, Fri 30 May 2025

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7638541.

On the 19/04/25 we had a burst water main outside Southorpe Meadows. AW "completed" the reinstatement of the kerb line and verge to a substandard. There is no mortar between the kerbs, the kerb hasnt been backfilled and the verge not put back as found. On the opposite side of the road the verge was churned up due to their operatives pulling the road closure in to allow the public to mount the verge and get round the closure point. I have reported this to AW 4 times and been fobbed off with excuses as to why their reinstatement manager cant attend site- its now been 4 weeks! Please can PCC raise this as a defect to ensure AW take their responsibility's serious. If a tractor rides the kerb line, and they do regularly, that kerb will pop and become a bigger issue Thanks Gareth SPC
