Large branch fell on my drive and fence
Reported via mobile in the Fallen branch category anonymously at 10:34, Sun 25 May 2025
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7615089.
Woke up this morning 25 may to find a large branch on my drive and fence, I normally park my car in the corner you see where the branch is, I have asked the council numerous times to cut the trees back from my drive but have been refused, this could have caused serious damage to my car I would like someone to come round and remove the branch, it is far too large and heavy for me to lift, I would also like an inspection and removal of over hanging branches across my drive as other branches of this very large size may drop on my car and damage it. My real concern is this large branch could injure someone in my family.

Works recommended
Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
For further information please read the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028
Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact Aragon Direct Services on 01733 425312 or email trees@peterboroughlimited.co.uk
