Two lime trees are diseased and dropping branches

There are two council owned lime trees on the verge to front of the property. These have been reported with a request to cut them down several times. They are very dangerous as the are dropping large dead branches on to the verge and are a potential danger to people and cars passing.

    Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.

    A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.

    Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
