Contradictive road/signage

Reported via desktop in the Traffic sign category anonymously at 01:08, Monday 14 April 2025

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7430049.

The road sign coming off the A1139 from the east says that lane 2 and 3 can both go to orton parkway but the lane markings on the road labaled "CITY" are on the outside lane going round the roundabout. That means someone coming out of Alwalton Hill that wants to join the A1139 heading east would be in the outside lane of the roundabout as the road markings say, and someone could be in the inside lane of the roundabout heading to lane 2 of orton parkway and they could cross paths with each other.

This roundabout and its signage and road markings do not match and is going to cause a collision if it has not already. I use this roundabout for the past 4 years dealing with people in the wrong lane on a daily basis.
