Rubbish and multiple black bags dumped on side of road and now onto the road. The rubbish on the side has been there for sometime now 3-4 weeks with extra rubbish being added

  • You can report cases of fly-tipping on private land to us, although it is the landowner’s responsibility to clear the waste.

    Our Environmental Enforcement Team can only investigate if there is enough evidence available, e.g. witness statement, CCTV footage, evidence in the waste, etc.
    When you report, please state if you’re able to provide any evidence to support our investigation.

    If there is enough evidence, once the case is referred to the Environmental Enforcement Team for investigation, we will mark the report as closed on the system.

    If there is no evidence of the fly-tipping being committed, or who the waste originally belonged to, we are unable to investigate and proceed with your report.

    The reason this report is marked as closed or marked as on private land, is because of where the pin was located, if the pin for example is placed ontop of a car , house , tree or bush , it will automatically mark the report as private land.

    Customer Services have moved the pin on the map to PCC land, and this has generated a removal report with Aragon Direct Services.

  • Aragon Direct Services were unable to clear this fly tip. This may be that we were unable to locate the items, items are on private land, or this may be a duplicate report.

    Your report will be investigated further, and you will be provided with an update by Peterborough City Council Customer Services team.

    Fly-tipping will only be cleared from land owned or maintained by Peterborough City Council. Aragon Direct Services are unable to clear fly-tipping from private land as this is the responsibility of the landowner.

    In some cases, the council's environmental enforcement team will investigate further.

    Customer Services can see that this has already been reported and the environmental enforcement officer is currently investigating the waste, once the investigation is completed the enforcement officer will arrange with Aragon Direct Services to clear up the waste if on PCC Land, if this is on private land the owner will be notified to clear the waste.
