Someone has dumped a large pile of rubbish.
Reported via iOS in the General fly tipping category anonymously at 10:58, Sunday 2 February 2025
Sent to Peterborough City Council 1 day, 3 hours, 50 minutes later. Council ref: 7071770.
Someone has dumped a large pile of household and commercial rubbish in a lay-by before the bridge. Driving past this rubbish this morning, I came across a fox that was stuck within some cord/rope and a mixture of other bits within the rubbish pile. There were some letters/paperwork present within the pile also, maybe showing where the rubbish came from. This rubbish is a serious hazard to wildlife and the natural surroundings and also poses a fire risk and health risk to children that play on the field immediately adjacent to it. This needs clearing before serious injury to person or animal occurs.

You can report cases of fly-tipping on private land to us, although it is the landowner’s responsibility to clear the waste.
Our Environmental Enforcement Team can only investigate if there is enough evidence available, e.g. witness statement, CCTV footage, evidence in the waste, etc.
When you report, please state if you’re able to provide any evidence to support our investigation.
If there is enough evidence, once the case is referred to the Environmental Enforcement Team for investigation, we will mark the report as closed on the system.
If there is no evidence of the fly-tipping being committed, or who the waste originally belonged to, we are unable to investigate and proceed with your report.
