Residents Safety at risk

Reported via desktop in the Public right of way - problem with access or damage category anonymously at 16:09, Friday 24 January 2025

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 7028499.

This road from the marker to the pumping station needs a barrier to prevent anyone using it. This area is used by everyone accessing the lake as no proper non residential access/parking has been provided by anyone. The road leading to this (berrington view) is supposed to be residents only, but we are basically trapped living in a little corner of crime that is unsafe for the numerous children and adults that live here. This has led to the area : - being filled with litter from people eating their fast food and so has also increased the rat population leading to health concerns - non residents playing loud music from their cars outside peoples homes - Car headlights beaming into residents windows for long periods of time - People doing drugs and leaving drug litter - People dealing drugs from cars - People having sex - Car racers driving at high speed down our road - people parking inconsiderately blocking drives and access points - People in cars outside homes with engines running at all hours, and that does mean any time of day, night, morning - Resident have been attacked - No lighting so dangerous to anyone walking a dog - Since Urban fishing have taken over lake, members now park here also. We dont need reactive actions, we need preventative actions, in particular a barrier to stop anyone using it, possibly a police order to make the land owners rectify the dangerous environment that has been created by the way the area was planned.
