Flooded car park between number 86 and 87 Cleatham

Reported via desktop in the Other public drainage issue category anonymously at 14:20, Friday 3 January 2025

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6926848.

This communal and pressured car park between number 86 and 87 Cleatham (PE3 9XG) becomes flooded and does not drain for hours following any extended periods of rainfall exceeding 6mm/hr. As a result residents are often unable to urgently access their parked cars and the adjacent cycle paths, for emergency needs.

How soon can the root cause of this flooding be identified and addressed, please?

  • The gullies have been cleansed and all detritus removed from the gully pots, we believe these gullies may outfall into a soakaway and at times of heavy and or persistent rainfall the ground conditions become saturated, thus making the soakaways less affective, leading to temporary areas of standing water.
