Footpath extremely dangerous and unsafe

The footpath, often reported but always ignored by PCC highways, is the only pedestrian walkway on Old Leicester Road. It is extremely narrow, with a surface that is a dangerous trip hazard and wholly unusable in a safe manner. The only alternative is to join the speeding traffic in the carriageway. A definite accident waiting to happen.
