Overhanging tree causing damage

Reported via desktop in the Overhanging Trees category anonymously at 15:37, Fri 25 October 2024

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6658799.

This has been raised previously and has not been rectified. I also note that a similar complaint was raised in may of this year, whereby your own updates claim this tree has been cut back... it hasn't... all that was done was ivy removed from a fence. This large tree outside the front of my property (9 Pendleton) overhangs into my boundary, touches my property, blocks any form of sunlight and creates a large amount of leaf litter. I have damage to my roof and upon roofers attending, all have stated that the moss created from this tree has potentially been a source of the damage.

My wife has raised this previously only to be told to get our own tree surgeon, this is not an acceptable response. I expect a proper assessment and for works to be completed by yourselves to cut this tree back, away from my property to prevent any further damage and to allow light into my home.

This tree is far to large to be left directly outside of residential properties so therefore i request that a portion of the extorinate council tax i pay is used to actually get the job done and not be fobbed off with another pitiful excuse.
