Resident's leaving bins on public path and bin bag

Reported via mobile in the Litter removal category anonymously at 09:14, Tuesday 22 October 2024

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6643879.

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to raise a concern regarding the disposal of rubbish in our area, specifically the issue of bins being left on public paths and rubbish bags being stored in front gardens.

Unfortunately, I have noticed that some bins are not being returned after collection day and are left on the pavements, obstructing the walkways. Additionally, rubbish bags left outside on the front gardens can attract unwanted pests such as rats, foxes, and other animals, which can cause further mess and create health risks for the community.

As a neighbourhood, it’s important that we all work together to keep our streets clean and safe. I kindly ask that bins are brought back promptly after collection and that rubbish is securely stored in proper bins to avoid attracting animals. This will not only improve the appearance of our neighbourhood but also help prevent any potential issues with pests.
