Temporary lights, long delays, no work

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6565610.

These temporary lights have been here for weeks and no visible work has been completed. No road area is being worked on. No footpath is being worked on. They are causing delays in all directions affecting adjoining roads, residential & business access. They are completely pointless

  • Many thanks for your report. Please be advised the lights at the Triangle on Lincoln Road have been put in place due to a Road Traffic Accident that damaged the connection to the permanent lights at this location, so replacement temporary lights are necessary for public safety, we cannot leave this very sensitive location with no traffic signals in place. There are no works visible as we are waiting for UKPN to re-connect to the new power supply installed, and are working at this location this week to reconnect as quickly as possible.
