Blocked drain that floods part of road

Blocked drain outside 11/12 Rose Walk. Photo taken from the bad rain last week, however in any constant rain usually half the side of the road where the drain is will flood. This has been happening for a number of months now.

  • We have been on site and cleansed the gullies, 90% of the gullies on the Wittering village site outfall to soakaways, a design implemented by the MOD. As such during heavy rainfall the soakaways become saturated ( like a sponge) and this results in temporary areas of standing water, once the soakaways dry the water will flow into the gullies and to the drying soakaway.
