Damage to Footpath

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6436880.

As you are probably aware 'City Fibre' laid cable in the footpath on Stamford Road Marholm on Sunday 1st September. The work entailed excavating a trench in the footpath and backfilling on completion. The quality of the backfill tarmac outside 'Paddock House' and 'Amberley' is poor, with an open texture that is likely to break up when subjected to rain and frosts. In carrying out the work, areas of the adjacent footpath have also been damaged in several places and left unrepaired. The quality of the workmanship is questionable.

  • Good morning and thank you for highlighting this to us. I will arrange for one of our inspectors to visit the area week beginning 09/09/24. They will then take the relevant actions depending on what they find.
