Tree overgrown
Reported via mobile in the Overgrown trees category anonymously at 20:29, Thursday 15 August 2024
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6362219.
Tree on the corner of Derwent Drive and Wye Place needs pruning back and the low brunches cut back. The branches are reaching out over the paths and that low you have to duck to walk under them. It's dropping lots of sap over vehicles that we are not allowed to park on driveways and have to park on the road, though soon the branches will be hanging over the driveway. The tree will need to to be pruned this autumn before someone is injured or buildings or cars damaged

Works recommended
Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
