Council owned tree roots causing ongoing damage.

Reported via desktop in the Tree is considered to be causing damage category by Jeff Morgan at 15:31, Tuesday 13 August 2024

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6351461.

Block paving to side of property near the boundary is being disturbed (lifted) to the extent its causing significant trip hazards. There are also signs of property brickwork / foundation mortar cracking at ground level. There may be further unseen damage at this stage. The block paving problem has been ongoing for a number of years and has been self dealt with by lifting block paving and cutting back roots. This is now becoming unsustainable with the roots getting larger and causing more frequent damage. Failure to address this problem in good time may result in damage to the properties foundations and it is fair and reasonable the council would be responsible to meet any costs due to this notification.
