Oak tree seriously encroaching over my land
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 6016792.
The oak tree at the back of 20 Brackenwood is now seriously encroaching over my boundary. In addition very large dead branches are falling onto my land with regular frequency causing damage to our fence and garden plants. Other trees in the vicinity which are of the same size and age have also recently required attention due to falling branches. The pictures were taken with me standing in the middle of my garden not on its boundary

A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.

The works recommended from the inspection have been approved and we are in the process of issuing a work order to our contractor.

The works order has now been issued to the contractor for completion within 30 working days. However due to Covid-19 restrictions and workings this may be extended
