Roadworks planned
Reported via mobile in the Other public drainage issue category anonymously at 17:55, Sun 11 February 2024
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5562668.
There are signs roadworks are planned somewhere along this road (Northside/Whittlesey Road) for 3 nights starting 14 February. Both North Bank and the B1040 are closed which means this is the ONLY road accessible for residents. Please do not close this road as well as would result in complete isolation and what would happen if emergency vehicles were required to get through

The proposed closure on the B1040 from 14/02/2024 is the same closure that would be in place should the B1040 be closed due to flooding at the same time as Northbank is closed due to flooding, as happened previously. The diversion route is the same route via the A47. We do understand the frustration caused by the flooding on Northbank, but unfortunately these necessary resurfacing works will need to go ahead.
