Car parking blocking road

Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 20:55, Thu 1 December 2022

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4009316.

Cars continue to park along the road blocking view either side of pathway to cross road (should be zebra crossing) this is always the case and got worse over the years If a zebra crossing was installed then school and pathway would be kept clear if not then need law enforcement to give out parking fines also suppose to be 20mph which blatantly being ignore Get enforcement officers to fine (parents mostly) rather than asking them not to park in yellow zig zags This needs to be addressed before someone gets seriously hurt

If there is an obstruction of the road or pavement or blocking drive or any dangerous parking, this is the responsibility of the police to investigate and enforce. They can be contacted on 101 or you can complete their ASB form online to report the obstruction - https://www.cambs.police.uk/ ro/ report/ asb/ asb/ report-antisocial-behaviour/ It is not an offence to park a motor vehicle, with the exemption of a HGV, on a grass verge, pavement or road, unless it is causing an obstruction or there is a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) in place prohibiting it, any illegal parking (example double yellow lines) can be reported directly to the parking enforcement team on: parking.enforcement@peterborough.gov.uk
