Earth and rubble at back of Barnack Cemetery
Reported via desktop in the General fly tipping category by Debbie Lines at 13:49, Sun 30 October 2022
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3924711.
This earth and rubble has built up over time. Originally it was a small earth mound used by the grave digger to top up the graves. However, it now appears to be a dumping ground for earth, rubble etc. We are not sure who is using it, it may be that when we had some work on the gravestones they tipped rubble there, it is not clear. But it now seems to be growing without obvious cause. Could a dump truck come in please and remove the mound?

We were unable to clear this fly tip. It may be that we were unable to locate it or it may have been on private land.
Fly-tipping will only be cleared from land owned or maintained by Peterborough City Council. We are unable to clear fly-tipping from private land as this is the responsibility of the land owner.
Whilst we cannot provide further details at this time, residents can obtain information on land ownership through HM Land Registry if required. In some cases, the council's environmental enforcement team will investigate further. Therefore, this job has not been completed.
State changed to: No further action
