Tree roots up lifting pavement
Reported via desktop in the Growth at the bottom of trees/regrowth category anonymously at 10:58, Wed 19 October 2022
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3899596.
More than a year ago someone came out to examine a tree whose roots are causing damage to the pavement outside of no. 74 Paynesholm; I live at no. 73. The tree was surrounded by barriers and nothing further has been done as far as we can see. This tree is an eyesore and is blocking pedestrian access to parked cars as well as affecting kerb appeal. We have reported this twice through FixMyStreet to be informed it will be taken in hand and we would be kept up to date. The first report went in in Aug 2022 and the second in September 2022; we are now in October and still nothing has been done as far as we can see. We feel after all this time this needs to be addressed by either repairing or removing the tree. Given this does not appear to have been acted on we would appreciate it if you would let me know who to complain to get this resolved.
