Bin Lorry damaging Tree
Reported via desktop in the Vehicle has damaged tree category anonymously at 11:33, Thu 13 October 2022
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3887256.
The tree which is on our land at the corner of number 5 Woolgard is within the turning circle for the bin lorry here. The tree is well loved in the area, and is being regularly damaged by the vehicle whenever it's turning around and just needs to be trimmed back slightly to stop branches from being ripped off of the tree.

Works recommended
Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
