Dangerous parking

Reported via iOS in the Public right of way - problem with access or damage category anonymously at 18:39, Mon 3 October 2022

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3865615.

As no yellow lines on the bend from Thorpe Rd roundabout through to near entrance to car park there is nothing stopping people parking on the path making it dangerous for cyclists or pedestrians and very hazardous for drivers pulling into or out of Thorpe Meadows, rowing lake, the Boathouse or hotel. Makes it impossible for two cars to pass each other as parked cars take up too much of the road. I have seen/ had a lot of near misses with other cars and particularly lorries trying to navigate the bend. Having asked some drivers WHY they park in such a way that is likely to result in damage to their own car, it seems it is to save paying for parking in the rowing lake, pub or hotel car parks.
