Overgrown trees
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown trees category anonymously at 13:51, Mon 26 September 2022
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3849658.
There is a number of mature trees along Levens Walk to the rear of Thorseby Close. In the last few years some of them have dropped branches in high winds, one of which landed against my garden wall but fortunately did not do any major damage. While it is nice to have the trees they do represent a danger to people and property if not kept properly pruned and several have branches which do not look safe.

Works recommended
Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
For further information please read the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028
