Tree roots ingress close to property

Reported via desktop in the Problem with tree roots category anonymously at 13:10, Tuesday 20 September 2022

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3835962.

1. The image I have sent shows a tree root under a patio slab less than 1.5 metres from my property. The root is circa 30mm in dia. Lifting other slabs show an extensive network of fine roots at the base of the property. If the roots extend as far as their canopy there could be extensive ingress close to the house. 2. Overhanging tree branches are less then 2 metres from the rear of the house. 3. The extensive tree canopy leads to excessive dumping of leaves in the back garden during Autumn. 4. The height of the trees severely reduces the light to the rear of the house and solar panel installers tell me that they would reduce the effectiveness of any panels installed at the rear of the house.
