Dangerous tree

Reported via mobile in the Overhanging Trees category anonymously at 19:50, Tuesday 30 August 2022

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3791188.

Dear Sir/Madam, I recently called you with a request to remove a closely growing tree near my house. The tree grows 4 meters from my house, although such a large tree should be no closer than 5 to 7 meters. Some of the branches hang over our house, fall onto the tiles and so cause damage to my property. Also, with strong winds, large branches fall into my garden. One large branch fell next to me when I was in my garden, it could have killed or hurt me. Today a team of workers came, and for some reason they only removed a few of the smaller lower branches and then they left, leaving the upper more dangerous branches remaining, hanging over my house and garden. I still don’t understand why they removed only a few branches at the bottom, and left dangerous branches at the top. These lower branches that were cut did not hang over my house and would not have fallen on me. I am asking you once again , please remove this dangerous tree before the strong winds start. I am afraid that it will damage my property and during the winds I am afraid to live next to it. I'm already just afraid to go out into my own garden. Thank you for your understanding
