Extensive littering and car lived in by homeless

Reported via mobile in the General fly tipping category anonymously at 22:46, Tuesday 30 August 2022

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3790164.

There is extensive littering around all perimeters of the Wellington Street car park and its entrances. In addition a car with crash damage to its bonnet is being used as accommodation throughout the day/night (for at least the past 2 weeks), which is unfortunately exacerbating the littering issue around and under the vehicle.

  • We were unable to clear this fly tip. It may be that we were unable to locate it or it may have been on private land.

Fly-tipping will only be cleared from land owned or maintained by Peterborough City Council. We are unable to clear fly-tipping from private land as this is the responsibility of the land owner.

Whilst we cannot provide further details at this time, residents can obtain information on land ownership through HM Land Registry if required. In some cases, the council's environmental enforcement team will investigate further. Therefore, this job has not been completed.

State changed to: No further action
