Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later.
Council ref: 3783951.
Please pass this on to the Council leader. Councilor Hogg wrote "The static meet is scheduled to start at 7.30pm on Sunday – but on numerous occasions in recent years following meetings residents in the Ortons have been subjected to late night noise and dangerous driving.
Traffic calming measures were put in place at a known hotspot, Stapledon Road in the Ortons, and cllr Hogg said the measures had been successful, and was hoping they could be replicated elsewhere in the city.
He said: “The measures at Stapledon Road have worked, but it has just pushed the issue elsewhere. At Tresham Road, near Stapleton Road, there has been a big uplift in problems.
"We now need to look at where we can take action next.”
1 ) Rubbish ! we dont want speed bumps installed all over the City. That is not the solution and only mainly affects law abiding motorists. 2) Why not close Fair Meadow car Park if you know its going to be a problem after all its a council car park so get a grip somebody. 3) Its known where it starts and where these meets disperse to. So why after years of this is there no enforcement and clamp down on these individuals ? 4) Thes meets never as I see it pay for any car parking. So why should we ? Weak Council and weak policing. Talk the talk but cant walk the walk !
