Tree doesn’t look healthy

Reported via mobile in the Tree is dead or dying category anonymously at 07:48, Fri 26 August 2022

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3781711.

Outside the back of 110/111 stumpacre there is an enormous tree that doesn’t look very healthy on the stump. In the past large branches have fallen from it and luckily not landed on property or god forbid a person. It was said the tree was assessed in 2020 however I believe the wrong tree was assessed. I saw a man assessing a tree out the front around this time not at the back? This tree hasn’t been cut in the last 8years even tho it’s on council land.

Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.

Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
